Linvesta-Emp 5+25mg Tablets (30 pack) are a combination medicine for type 2 diabetes, pairing linagliptin 5mg. A DPP-4 inhibitor (gliptin). With empagliflozin 25mg, an SGLT2 inhibitor. Linagliptin helps the body release more of its own insulin after meals, while empagliflozin helps the body remove excess sugar through the urine; together they give fuller blood-sugar control from one tablet, and empagliflozin can also offer heart and kidney benefits. Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor. Usually one tablet once daily in the morning, with or without food, swallowed with water, at the same time each day. Drink enough fluids. Keep taking it alongside your diet and exercise plan even when you feel well, and attend your blood-sugar, kidney and other reviews.

Empagliflozin increases the risk of genital and urinary infections (drink fluids and keep good hygiene) and, rarely, a serious condition called diabetic ketoacidosis. Seek urgent care for nausea, vomiting, tummy pain, fast breathing or drowsiness, even if blood sugar is not very high. The risk of low blood sugar rises with insulin/sulfonylureas. Tell your doctor about kidney or liver problems and a history of pancreatitis. Use in pregnancy only on advice.
