Not for use in heart failure. Report rapid weight gain, swelling or breathlessness promptly (fluid retention). Avoided with bladder cancer history or unexplained blood in the urine. Report the latter. May increase fracture risk in women with long-term use. Not for type 1 diabetes or ketoacidosis. May restore ovulation in some women. Discuss contraception.
