Overview

Rybelsus 3mg Tablets (30 pack) contain oral semaglutide, the first GLP-1 receptor agonist available as a tablet, for type 2 diabetes. From Novo Nordisk. Semaglutide boosts insulin release when glucose is high, curbs appetite and slows digestion, improving blood sugar control with weight benefits. The 3mg strength is the initiation dose used to build tolerance before stepping up. Used under close medical supervision.

Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Dosage is determined by your prescribing doctor based on your individual needs. Do not adjust your dose without medical supervision. Take on an EMPTY STOMACH first thing in the morning, swallowed whole with no more than half a glass of plain water (about 120ml). Do not split, crush or chew. Then wait at least 30 minutes before eating, drinking anything else or taking other medicines; taking it with food or more water sharply reduces absorption. Follow your doctor's step-up schedule. This medicine is used under close medical supervision.

Nausea is common when starting and usually settles. Smaller meals help. Stop and seek urgent care for severe persistent abdominal pain radiating to the back (possible pancreatitis). Tell your doctor about a history of medullary thyroid cancer or MEN2, gallbladder disease, kidney problems and diabetic eye disease. Hypoglycaemia risk rises when combined with sulfonylureas or insulin. Not for type 1 diabetes, and not used in pregnancy. Plan ahead with your doctor.
