Overview

Relestat Eye Drops 5ml contain epinastine 0.5mg/ml, a dual-action antihistamine for allergic conjunctivitis. The itchy, red, watery eyes triggered by pollen, dust and pet dander. Epinastine both blocks histamine receptors for rapid itch relief and stabilises mast cells to prevent further histamine release, so eyes stay comfortable for longer. From Allergan, Relestat starts relieving ocular itching within minutes and is a trusted prescription option for people whose eye allergies flare in dusty seasons or around allergens at home and work.

Epinastine hydrochloride 0.5mg/ml ophthalmic solution. Contains benzalkonium chloride as preservative.

Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Use only as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. The usual dose is one drop into each affected eye twice daily. Wash hands, tilt the head back, pull the lower lid down and instil the drop without touching the tip to the eye. Continue through the allergy exposure period as advised. Remove soft contact lenses before instilling and wait at least 10-15 minutes before reinserting.

Do not use if allergic to epinastine or any component. Contains benzalkonium chloride, which can be absorbed by soft contact lenses and irritate the eye. Remove lenses first. Not for treating contact lens irritation or eye infection. See a doctor for painful, sticky or vision-affecting eye problems. Use in pregnancy and breastfeeding only on medical advice.
