Overview

Optive Lubricant Eye Drops 10ml are advanced artificial tears from Allergan that relieve the burning, grittiness and tired-eye feeling of dry eye. The dual-action formula combines carmellose sodium, which lubricates the eye surface, with glycerin, which hydrates and protects the surface cells through osmoprotection. Comfort that lasts longer than basic saline drops. Ideal for screen users, contact lens wearers (instilled before/after lens wear as directed), air-conditioned offices and dusty commutes, and for dry eye that comes with age or certain medicines.

Carmellose sodium 0.5% and glycerin 0.9% with osmoprotectants (levocarnitine, erythritol) and Purite® preservative. Full list on product packaging.

Directions for Use

Wash your hands. Instil one to two drops into each affected eye as needed throughout the day. Typically two to four times daily, or as advised by your eye care professional. Tilt the head back, pull down the lower eyelid and squeeze gently without touching the tip to the eye. Blink a few times to spread the drop. Discard the bottle 6 months after opening (check label).

For external ophthalmic use only. Do not use if the solution changes colour or becomes cloudy, or if you are allergic to any component. If you experience eye pain, vision changes, persistent redness or worsening irritation beyond 72 hours, stop and consult an eye care professional. Dry eye can mask other conditions. Remove contact lenses if your optician advises before instilling. Store below 25°C with the cap tightly closed.
