Overview

Auroprost RT Drops (latanoprost) is a prescription eye drop used to lower raised pressure inside the eye in people with open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension. Latanoprost is a prostaglandin analogue that works by increasing the natural drainage of fluid (aqueous humour) from the eye, reducing pressure and helping to protect the optic nerve and preserve sight. Used once daily, it helps adults manage glaucoma and prevent gradual vision loss over the long term.

Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Use only as directed by your doctor. The usual dose is one drop in the affected eye(s) once daily, preferably in the evening. Tilt the head back, pull down the lower eyelid and instil one drop without touching the eye or dropper tip. Press gently on the inner corner of the eye for about a minute afterwards. If you wear contact lenses, remove them first and reinsert after 15 minutes.

This is a prescription medicine for the eye. It can gradually and permanently darken the colour of the iris and the skin around the eye, and increase the length, thickness and colour of eyelashes. Tell your doctor about any eye conditions, infections or recent eye surgery. Use with caution and only on medical advice in pregnancy or breastfeeding. If using more than one eye drop, leave at least 5 minutes between them. Report eye pain, marked redness or vision changes.
