Overview
Lacoma T Eye Drops are a prescription combination eye drop containing latanoprost and timolol, used to lower raised pressure inside the eye in people with open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension. Latanoprost (a prostaglandin analogue) increases the drainage of fluid from the eye, while timolol (a beta-blocker) reduces the amount of fluid produced. Together they lower eye pressure more than either alone, helping protect the optic nerve and preserve sight. This 2.5ml drop is used once daily by adults under an eye doctor's guidance.
Directions for Use
This is a prescription medicine. Use only as directed by your doctor, usually one drop in the affected eye(s) once daily. Tilt the head back, pull down the lower eyelid and instil one drop without touching the eye or dropper tip, then press gently on the inner corner of the eye for about a minute. If using other eye drops, leave at least 5 minutes between them. Remove contact lenses first and reinsert after 15 minutes.
This is a prescription medicine. The timolol (beta-blocker) component can be absorbed. Tell your doctor if you have asthma or other breathing problems, a slow heart rate or heart conditions, as it may not be suitable. Latanoprost can gradually and permanently darken the iris and the skin around the eye and lengthen/darken eyelashes. Report eye pain, marked redness or vision changes. Use in pregnancy or breastfeeding only on advice. Refrigerate unopened as directed and use within the stated period after opening. This product information is for general guidance only and does not replace professional medical advice. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider before starting any new medication or supplement. Keep all medicines out of reach of children.
Active ingredients: Latanoprost 0.005% (50 micrograms/ml) + Timolol 0.5% (5mg/ml).
