Overview

Lumigan 0.03% Eye Drops 3ml contain bimatoprost, a prostamide that powerfully lowers eye pressure in open-angle glaucoma and ocular hypertension. Bimatoprost increases the outflow of fluid from the eye, achieving among the strongest pressure reductions of any drop class with convenient once-nightly dosing. Protecting the optic nerve from the gradual damage that steals sight without warning. From Allergan, Lumigan is a first-line choice in glaucoma management, often controlling pressure with a single daily drop.

Bimatoprost 0.3mg/ml (0.03%) ophthalmic solution. Contains benzalkonium chloride as preservative.

Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Use only as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. The usual dose is one drop in the affected eye(s) once daily in the evening. Do not use more often, as extra doses can paradoxically reduce the effect. Wash hands, instil carefully, and wipe away excess from the skin to limit lash and skin changes. Space other eye drops by at least 5 minutes. Discard 28 days after opening.

Can gradually darken the iris (eye colour). Often permanent, and darken eyelid skin; lashes grow longer and thicker (reversible). Inform your doctor of eye inflammation, previous cataract surgery or macular oedema risk. Mild redness and itching are common initially. Remove soft contact lenses before use; reinsert after 15 minutes. Use in pregnancy and breastfeeding only on medical advice. Attend regular eye pressure reviews. Store below 25°C.
