Overview

Proloc-D Capsule is a combination medicine used in the treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) for patients who are not responding adequately to pantoprazole alone. Proloc-D Capsule is a combination of two medicines:Domperidone and Pantoprazole. Domperidone is a prokinetic which works on the upper digestive tract to increase the movement of the stomach and intestines, allowing the food to move more easily through the stomach. Pantoprazole is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) which works by reducing the amount of acid in the stomach which helps in the relief of acid-related indigestion and heartburn.

Directions for Use

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Do not chew, crush or break it. Proloc-D Capsule is to be taken empty stomach.

Administration of Domperidone is contraindicated in people having conditions where cardiac conduction is impaired or could be impaired and with underlying cardiac diseases (such as congestive heart failure). This drug is contraindicated in individuals with severe hepatic impairment and receiving other medications that prolong QT interval or potent CYP3A4 inhibitors. Pantoprazole administration is contraindicated in patients having hypersensitivity this drug, or to any ingredient of the formulation or any substituted benzimidazole. The hypersensitive reactions possibly include anaphylaxis, anaphylactic shock, acute interstitial nephritis, angioedema, bronchospasm, and urticaria.
