Overview
Glycerin 1.2g Suppositories are a gentle laxative used for the short-term relief of occasional constipation. Inserted rectally, glycerin works by softening the stool and gently stimulating the bowel to produce a bowel movement, usually within 15-60 minutes. This smaller 1.2g strength is suitable for children (use the strength advised for the age). They offer fast, predictable relief for occasional constipation for families .
Directions for Use
Use the strength suitable for the age. If the suppository is too soft, chill it first. Moisten it with a little water, then gently insert it into the back passage (rectum) and remain still for a few minutes; a bowel movement usually follows within about 15-60 minutes. Use only occasionally as needed, not regularly. Wash hands before and after.
For rectal use for short-term, occasional constipation only. May cause mild rectal warmth, stinging or cramping. Do not use if there is severe abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, or a sudden change in bowel habit lasting more than 2 weeks. See a doctor. Regular laxative use without medical advice should be avoided. Use the age-appropriate strength in children. Store in a cool place.
