Movicol Paediatric Sachets 6.9g (30 pack) are a gentle, clinically proven treatment for constipation and faecal impaction in children aged 2-11 years. Each sachet contains macrogol 3350 with balanced electrolytes. It works by holding water in the stool, softening it and restoring comfortable, regular bowel habits without stimulating or irritating the gut. Because it works with the body rather than forcing it, Movicol is recommended by paediatricians for both short courses and supervised longer-term use, making toilet time stress-free for children and parents.

Per 6.9g sachet: macrogol 3350 (polyethylene glycol) 6.563g with sodium chloride, sodium bicarbonate and potassium chloride.

Directions for Use

Dissolve each sachet in about 60ml (quarter glass) of water and let the child drink it. It can be mixed with juice or squash for taste. For constipation: typically one sachet daily for children 2-6 years and two sachets daily for 7-11 years, adjusted to response. For faecal impaction, higher escalating doses are used only under a doctor's direction. Maintain good fluid intake throughout.

Use for children under 2 only on a doctor's advice. Seek medical review before use if the child has severe abdominal pain, vomiting, or a suspected bowel blockage. Do not use with intestinal obstruction or perforation. Mild bloating, cramps or loose stools can occur. Reduce the dose if stools become too loose. Each sachet contains electrolytes. Relevant in kidney or heart conditions; check with a doctor. Persistent constipation despite treatment needs assessment.
