Imodium 2mg Capsules (6 pack) contain loperamide, the world's most trusted anti-diarrhoeal medicine from Johnson & Johnson. Imodium works by slowing down excessive gut movement, allowing the body to absorb more water and salts, firming stools and reducing the frequency of acute diarrhoea. Often within one hour of the first dose. The handy 6-capsule pack is ideal for travel, work emergencies and home first-aid kits , helping adults get back to their day quickly when sudden diarrhoea strikes.

Directions for Use

Adults and children over 12 years: take two capsules initially, then one capsule after each loose stool. Do not exceed 6 capsules (12mg) in 24 hours. Swallow capsules whole with water. Drink plenty of fluids or use oral rehydration salts (ORS) alongside Imodium to replace lost water and salts. If diarrhoea lasts more than 48 hours, stop and see a doctor or pharmacist.

Do not use if you have a high fever, blood or mucus in the stool, or severe abdominal pain. These may indicate an infection needing medical treatment, such as dysentery. Not for children under 12 years without medical advice. Do not use in acute ulcerative colitis or antibiotic-associated colitis. Rehydration is the priority in all diarrhoea, especially for the elderly. Consult a doctor before use if pregnant or breastfeeding. Do not exceed the stated dose.
