Domperon Suspension 30ml contains domperidone, an anti-nausea and prokinetic medicine for infants and children. It relieves nausea, vomiting, reflux and the bloating or discomfort of slow stomach emptying by speeding the passage of food from the stomach and blocking the brain's vomiting trigger zone. Without the sedation of older anti-sickness medicines. The paediatric suspension allows accurate weight-based dosing, helping parents settle a vomiting child and keep fluids down during stomach upsets, strictly under a clinician's direction.

Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Use only as directed by your doctor. Dosing is weight-based (commonly 0.25mg/kg up to three times daily) for the shortest time needed, usually under one week. Shake well and measure with the syringe or spoon provided. Give 15-30 minutes before feeds or meals. Do not exceed the prescribed dose or duration.

Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration. Domperidone has been linked to rare heart rhythm effects at high doses or with interacting medicines. Avoid with heart rhythm disorders, significant electrolyte disturbance, moderate-severe liver impairment, and together with ketoconazole, erythromycin or other QT-prolonging drugs. Stop and seek care for palpitations or fainting. Persistent vomiting in a child needs medical assessment for dehydration. Store below 30°C.
