Overview

Bacep Oral Suspension is a probiotic medicine containing Bacillus clausii spores, beneficial bacteria that help restore the natural balance of gut flora. It is used to treat and prevent disturbances of the gut bacteria, such as acute diarrhoea and diarrhoea associated with antibiotic use, and to support recovery of digestive health. Supplied as ready-to-use 5ml vials, it is convenient for adults and children , including during and after a course of antibiotics.

Directions for Use

Shake the vial gently before use. Take the contents of one vial orally as directed (commonly two to three vials daily for adults, and fewer for children, per the packaging or your doctor's advice). It can be taken directly or mixed into a little water, milk or other cool drink. Do not mix with hot liquids, which can damage the bacteria. If taking with antibiotics, space the doses apart as advised. Use for the recommended short course.

Do not use if you are allergic to Bacillus clausii or any ingredient. Use under medical advice in people who are seriously unwell or have a weakened immune system. Seek medical care if diarrhoea is severe, bloody, or lasts more than a couple of days, or if there are signs of dehydration. Oral rehydration may still be needed. Do not mix with hot drinks.
