Overview
Digoxin 125mcg Tablets (28 pack) contain the classic cardiac glycoside derived from the foxglove plant, prescribed for heart failure and to control a fast, irregular heartbeat in atrial fibrillation. Digoxin strengthens each heartbeat while slowing the electrical signals that drive a racing pulse, easing breathlessness, fatigue and palpitations. A medicine with over two centuries of clinical history, it remains a valuable tool for patients with heart rhythm and pump problems. Always used with careful dose monitoring because the margin between helpful and harmful levels is narrow.
Digoxin 125mcg (0.125mg) per tablet.
Directions for Use
This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor. Usually one tablet once daily at the same time each day, with or without food. Never adjust or double the dose yourself; digoxin has a narrow safety margin. Attend all blood test appointments. Levels, kidney function and potassium are monitored. If you miss a dose by more than 12 hours, skip it and take the next as scheduled.
Toxicity warning: nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, visual changes (yellow-green halos), confusion or palpitations can signal digoxin overdose. Seek urgent care. Low potassium increases toxicity risk. Caution with diuretics. Interacts with many medicines including amiodarone, verapamil, clarithromycin and some malaria treatments. Tell every prescriber you take digoxin. Avoid in certain rhythm disorders (heart block, WPW). Dose is reduced in kidney impairment and the elderly. Store below 30°C.
