Overview
Procoralan 7.5mg contains ivabradine, a heart medicine that works by slowing the heart rate. It is a prescription medicine used to treat the symptoms of chronic stable angina (chest pain due to coronary heart disease) in people who cannot take or tolerate certain other heart medicines, and to treat chronic heart failure alongside standard therapy. By lowering the heart rate, ivabradine reduces the heart's workload and helps manage symptoms. It is taken regularly as part of ongoing heart care under a doctor's supervision.
Ivabradine (as hydrochloride) 7.5mg.
Directions for Use
This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. It is usually taken as one tablet twice a day. One in the morning and one in the evening. With meals. Swallow whole with water. Your doctor will adjust the dose based on your heart rate and symptoms. Do not stop taking it suddenly without medical advice.
Tell your doctor if you have a very slow heart rate, low blood pressure, severe liver problems, or heart rhythm problems. Avoid grapefruit juice, which can affect how the medicine works. You may notice brief visual brightness (light effects). Take care when driving at night. Use in pregnancy or breastfeeding is not recommended. It interacts with several medicines, including certain antifungals, antibiotics and heart-rhythm drugs, so tell your doctor about everything you take. Store as directed on the label.
