Slow Potassium (Span-K) 600mg Tablets (200 pack) are a slow-release potassium chloride supplement. They are used to treat or prevent low blood potassium (hypokalaemia), which can happen with certain water tablets (diuretics), ongoing vomiting or diarrhoea, or some medical conditions. Potassium is an essential mineral for normal heart rhythm, muscle and nerve function, and the slow-release design helps deliver it gently to reduce stomach irritation. Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor. Swallow the tablets whole with a full glass of water, with or after food, and do not crush, chew or suck them (this protects the stomach and ensures slow release). Stay upright for a while after taking them. Take the exact number your doctor prescribes, and attend blood tests to check your potassium level.

Take exactly as prescribed. Too much potassium can be dangerous to the heart. Tell your doctor about kidney problems and all other medicines, especially other potassium supplements, potassium-sparing water tablets, ACE inhibitors or ARBs (blood-pressure medicines), which can raise potassium. Avoid potassium-based salt substitutes unless advised. Report muscle weakness, irregular heartbeat, or severe stomach pain. Swallow whole with plenty of water. Store below 30°C.
