Overview

Nebicard 2.5mg Tablets contain nebivolol, a modern cardio-selective beta-blocker used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension) and, in some patients, stable chronic heart failure. Nebivolol slows the heart rate and helps blood vessels relax, lowering blood pressure with a generally favourable side-effect profile compared with older beta-blockers. The 2.5mg strength is often used when starting treatment or for gradual dose adjustment. Nebicard supports long-term heart health for people managing high blood pressure under a doctor's care.

Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. Nebicard is usually taken once daily, at the same time each day, with or without food. Swallow with water. Your doctor may start with a low dose and adjust gradually. Keep taking it even if you feel well, and do not stop suddenly. Your doctor will taper the dose if treatment needs to end.

Do not use if you have severe asthma or wheezing, a very slow heartbeat, certain heart-rhythm or severe circulation disorders, untreated heart failure or severe liver problems. May cause tiredness, dizziness, headache or cold hands and feet. Take care when driving until you know how it affects you. Use with caution in diabetes, as it can mask signs of low blood sugar.
