Augmentin 1gm Tablets (14 pack) from GSK deliver the highest oral strength of co-amoxiclav. Amoxicillin 875mg with clavulanic acid 125mg. Each tablet: amoxicillin 875mg (as trihydrate) and clavulanic acid 125mg (as potassium clavulanate). Co-amoxiclav 1g.
Directions for Use
This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. The usual adult dose is one 1g tablet twice daily, about 12 hours apart, taken at the start of a meal to improve absorption and minimise stomach upset. Swallow whole with a full glass of water. Tablets may be halved along the score line if needed but not chewed. Complete the entire prescribed course even when you feel better.
Do not use if allergic to penicillins, or if you have previously had jaundice or liver problems with co-amoxiclav. Seek urgent help for any allergic reaction. Rash, facial swelling, difficulty breathing. Diarrhoea, nausea and thrush are common; persistent watery or bloody diarrhoea needs prompt medical review. Dose adjustment is required in kidney impairment. Remind your doctor of any kidney disease. Interactions: allopurinol, methotrexate, warfarin. Confirm suitability in pregnancy or breastfeeding with your doctor. Store below 25°C in a dry place.
