Flucloxacillin 500mg Capsules (100 pack) contain flucloxacillin, a penicillin antibiotic. It is used especially to treat bacterial skin and soft-tissue infections. Such as infected wounds, boils, abscesses, impetigo and cellulitis. Because it works well against the staph bacteria that commonly cause them, as well as some other infections including bone and ear infections. Flucloxacillin works by killing the bacteria. Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor. Usually one capsule four times a day, ideally on an empty stomach (about an hour before food or two hours after) with water, for best absorption. Space the doses evenly through the day. Complete the full course exactly as prescribed, even if you feel better sooner, to fully clear the infection and prevent resistance.

Do NOT take if you are allergic to penicillin. Tell your doctor, and seek emergency help for any rash, facial/throat swelling or breathing difficulty. Tell your doctor about liver problems. Rarely flucloxacillin can affect the liver, so report yellowing of the skin/eyes or dark urine, even up to weeks after stopping. Mild stomach upset or thrush can occur.
