Lizolid 600mg Tablets (12 pack) contain linezolid, a specialist oxazolidinone antibiotic reserved for serious infections caused by resistant Gram-positive bacteria. Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor. Typically one 600mg tablet every 12 hours for 10-14 days as prescribed. May be taken with or without food. Complete the full course. Avoid aged, fermented and pickled foods high in tyramine (mature cheese, soy sauce, cured meats) during treatment, as linezolid can interact to raise blood pressure.

Linezolid is a weak MAO inhibitor: avoid with antidepressants (SSRIs, MAOIs), pethidine and decongestants. Risk of serotonin syndrome and blood pressure surges; tell your doctor every medicine you take. Courses beyond 14 days risk blood cell suppression and nerve damage. Blood monitoring is required; report visual changes, numbness, unusual bruising or fatigue promptly. Caution with uncontrolled hypertension and thyroid disease.
