Overview

Lamisil 250mg Tablets from Novartis contain terbinafine, the gold-standard oral antifungal for stubborn fungal infections of the nails (onychomycosis), scalp ringworm and extensive skin fungal infections that creams cannot clear. Terbinafine kills fungi directly by disrupting their cell membranes and concentrates in skin, hair and nails, where infection lives. Fungal nail infections. Thickened, discoloured, crumbly nails. Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. The usual adult dose is one 250mg tablet once daily, with or without food, at the same time each day. Typical courses: 2-6 weeks for skin infections, 6 weeks-3 months or longer for nail infections. Complete the full course, and remember nails continue to improve for months after finishing as healthy nail grows out.

Tell your doctor about liver or kidney problems before starting. Terbinafine is not recommended in chronic or active liver disease, and your doctor may check liver function. Stop and seek urgent advice if you develop persistent nausea, dark urine, yellowing eyes or severe skin rash. May cause temporary taste disturbance or loss.
