Ursoliv 250mg Capsules contain ursodeoxycholic acid (UDCA) 250mg, a bile-acid therapy used to dissolve certain cholesterol gallstones, treat primary biliary cholangitis (PBC) and manage cholestatic liver conditions, including some in pregnancy under specialist care. UDCA improves bile flow and protects liver cells. Gentle, long-term support for bile and liver disease.

Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. Take the prescribed daily dose, usually divided with meals or as a single evening dose with food. Gallstone regimens favour bedtime dosing. Treatment is typically long-term: take consistently and attend monitoring, including liver tests and any scheduled ultrasound scans for gallstone dissolution.

Not suitable for calcified gallstones, non-functioning gallbladders, frequent biliary colic or certain bile duct blockages. Your doctor confirms suitability first. Diarrhoea is the most common effect. Avoid bile-acid-binding antacids and cholestyramine near doses. Separate by several hours. Tell your doctor about all medicines, including contraceptive pills (oestrogens can promote stone formation). Report worsening abdominal pain or jaundice promptly.
