Overview

Udihep Forte 300mg Tablets (50 pack) contain ursodeoxycholic acid, a naturally occurring bile acid used to help dissolve certain cholesterol gallstones and to treat some liver and bile-related conditions, such as primary biliary cholangitis and cholestasis (including in pregnancy, on specialist advice). It works by reducing the amount of cholesterol in bile and improving bile flow, which can ease itching and support liver function. A doctor-prescribed treatment helping people manage gallstone and cholestatic liver conditions. Confirm the active on the pack.

Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor. The dose is based on your body weight and condition, usually divided through the day and taken with food and water. Treatment for gallstones can take many months, so keep taking it for as long as prescribed and attend your review scans and blood tests. Do not stop without advice.

Not suitable for calcified or pigment gallstones, a non-functioning gallbladder, or acute gallbladder/bile-duct inflammation. Your doctor will assess this first. May occasionally cause loose stools. Tell your doctor about liver disease and all other medicines; certain antacids, cholesterol resins and some other drugs can reduce its effect, so space them apart.
