Overview

Corsodyl Freshmint Mouthwash (300ml) is a medicated antibacterial mouthwash that helps treat and prevent gum problems. It contains chlorhexidine, an antiseptic that kills bacteria in the mouth, helping to treat and control gum disease (gingivitis), soothe mouth ulcers and sore gums, and support healing after dental procedures. The freshmint flavour leaves the mouth feeling clean and fresh. An effective gum-care mouthwash helping people look after sore, bleeding or inflamed gums. Confirm the active on the pack.

Directions for Use

For mouth rinsing only. Do not swallow. Rinse the mouth thoroughly with about 10ml (one capful) of undiluted mouthwash for about one minute, twice a day, then spit it out. Use it about 30 minutes apart from toothpaste, as toothpaste can reduce its effect. Use for the period advised (often up to about a month for gum treatment) rather than continuously long-term without advice.

For oral rinsing only. Do not swallow, and avoid in young children unless advised. With regular use, chlorhexidine can cause temporary brown staining of the teeth and tongue and affect taste. This usually fades after stopping, and good brushing helps. Stop use if you get mouth irritation or swelling, and seek urgent care for any signs of an allergic reaction.
