Overview

Fastum Gel 2.5% 30g contains ketoprofen, a topical non-steroidal anti-inflammatory (NSAID) gel from Menarini used to relieve pain and inflammation in muscles, tendons and joints. It is applied directly over the painful area for sprains, strains, sports injuries, backache, tendonitis and minor trauma. Delivering targeted relief where it hurts with far less medicine reaching the rest of the body than tablets. The cooling, non-greasy gel absorbs quickly without rubbing residue. A compact 30g tube ideal for gym bags and first-aid kits across Kenya.

Directions for Use

Adults: apply a small amount of gel (5-10cm ribbon) to the painful area and massage in gently, two to three times daily, or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. Wash hands thoroughly after each application. Do not use for more than 7 days without medical advice. Do not apply under occlusive (airtight) dressings.

Important: avoid exposing treated skin to sunlight or sunbeds during use and for two weeks after stopping. Ketoprofen gel can cause serious photosensitivity reactions; cover treated areas outdoors. Do not use if allergic to ketoprofen, aspirin or other NSAIDs, or if you have had skin reactions to fenofibrate or sunscreens containing octocrylene. Do not apply to broken, infected or eczema-affected skin, or near eyes and mouth. Not recommended in the last trimester of pregnancy; check before use if pregnant, breastfeeding or asthmatic.
