Cabalin 25mg Capsules (30 pack) contain pregabalin at a gentle starting strength for nerve (neuropathic) pain, fibromyalgia and, as add-on therapy, partial seizures. Pregabalin calms over-excited nerve signalling, easing the burning, tingling and shooting pains of diabetic neuropathy and shingles aftermath, and is also used for generalised anxiety disorder. The low 25mg strength suits treatment initiation, dose titration, the elderly and patients with kidney impairment. Letting doctors build the dose gradually while monitoring response.

Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor. Treatment typically starts at a low dose taken two to three times daily and is increased gradually to the effective dose. Swallow capsules whole with water, with or without food, at the same times each day. Do not stop suddenly. Your doctor will taper the dose to avoid withdrawal symptoms.

Causes dizziness and sleepiness, especially early on. Do not drive until you know your response, and avoid alcohol. Dose must be reduced in kidney impairment. Use cautiously with opioids and sedatives (additive breathing suppression) and in the elderly (falls risk). Weight gain, ankle swelling and blurred vision can occur.
