Overview
Roaccutane 10mg from Roche contains isotretinoin, a powerful prescription medicine derived from vitamin A, used to treat severe acne (such as deep, scarring or persistent nodular acne) that has not responded to other treatments including antibiotics. It works by greatly reducing the skin's oil (sebum) production, calming inflammation and helping to clear stubborn breakouts, often with long-lasting results after a full course. Because of its strength and important safety requirements, Roaccutane is prescribed and closely monitored by a dermatologist or specialist doctor.
Isotretinoin 10mg.
Directions for Use
This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor or specialist. It is taken as capsules with food (which helps absorption), usually once or twice a day, at a dose based on your body weight and response. A typical course lasts several months. Swallow whole with water. Attend all review appointments and blood tests as scheduled, and follow the pregnancy-prevention requirements if they apply to you.
Isotretinoin causes serious birth defects. It must not be used in pregnancy, and women who could become pregnant must use reliable contraception and follow a pregnancy-prevention programme with regular tests. Do not donate blood during treatment or for one month after. It commonly causes very dry skin and lips, and can affect mood, the liver and blood fats. Report low mood or thoughts of self-harm urgently. Avoid vitamin A supplements, waxing and strong sun, and limit alcohol. Store below 25°C, protected from light. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider before starting any new medication or supplement. Keep all medicines out of reach of children.
