Overview

Cyclovax Cream contains aciclovir, an antiviral medicine, used to treat cold sores (herpes simplex) on the lips and around the mouth. Applied at the first tingling sign, it works by stopping the cold sore virus from multiplying in the skin, helping the cold sore heal faster and easing discomfort. Starting treatment early gives the best results. The handy 10g tube is for external use on the affected area of skin. Confirm the strength against the packaging.

Directions for Use

For external use on the skin. Wash and dry your hands. Apply a thin layer of cream to the cold sore (and just around it) five times a day, about every 4 hours during the day, ideally starting at the very first tingle. Continue for the number of days stated (usually 4-5 days, up to 10 if needed). Wash your hands after applying, and do not share the tube or rub the sore.

For external use only. Avoid the eyes, inside the mouth and the nose. Do not use on genital herpes without medical advice. It is intended for cold sores; if they are very severe, frequent, or do not heal, see a doctor, especially if your immune system is weakened. Avoid sharing items that touch the sore, to prevent spreading the virus. Use in pregnancy or breastfeeding only on advice. Stop if irritation occurs. Store below 25°C.
