Directions for Use

This is a medicine to be used on a doctor's or dermatologist's advice. Take only as directed. Usually a low dose once or twice daily, swallowed with water, for the period your doctor sets (melasma treatment is often given in courses with review). Use it alongside daily broad-spectrum sunscreen, as sun strongly worsens melasma. Do not exceed the prescribed dose or duration.

Tranexamic acid affects clotting. It should NOT be used if you have, or have had, blood clots (such as DVT, pulmonary embolism or stroke), and tell your doctor about clotting disorders, kidney problems, or use of hormonal contraception, which can add to clot risk. Report any leg pain/swelling, breathlessness, chest pain or vision changes urgently. Use a daily sunscreen, as melasma improvement depends on it. Use in pregnancy only on advice. Store below 30°C.
