Overview

Hepamerz Granules contain L-ornithine-L-aspartate (LOLA), a combination of two amino acids used to support liver function and lower raised blood ammonia levels. It is used in liver disease (such as cirrhosis) and to treat and prevent hepatic encephalopathy. The confusion and reduced consciousness that can occur when a damaged liver cannot clear ammonia from the blood. By boosting the body's natural ammonia-detoxifying pathways, it supports clearer thinking and liver recovery, for patients under medical supervision (sachets).

Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor. Dissolve the contents of one to two sachets in a glass of water or juice and drink, usually up to three times a day, during or after meals. Your doctor will set the dose based on your condition. Use as part of the overall management of your liver condition.

This is a prescription medicine. Not suitable for people with severe kidney impairment (a high serum creatinine). Tell your doctor about kidney problems. The granules contain fructose, so avoid if you have hereditary fructose intolerance, and note the content if diabetic. May occasionally cause nausea, vomiting or stomach upset, usually mild.
