Insulatard FlexPen is a prescription intermediate-acting insulin containing human isophane (NPH) insulin 100 units/ml in a convenient prefilled pen, used to control blood sugar in people with diabetes mellitus. It provides a longer-acting, background level of insulin to help manage blood glucose through the day and night, and is often combined with a shorter-acting insulin.
