Loperamide 2mg Capsules (6 pack) are a fast-acting anti-diarrhoeal medicine for the short-term relief of acute diarrhoea in adults. Loperamide works by slowing down the movement of the gut, allowing more water to be absorbed and producing firmer, less frequent stools. Helping you regain control quickly during travel, work or daily life. This compact 6-capsule pack is a practical addition to home first-aid kits and travel bags . Remember to also take plenty of fluids or oral rehydration solution (ORS), as treating dehydration is just as important as stopping the diarrhoea.

Loperamide hydrochloride 2mg per capsule.

Directions for Use

Adults and children over 12 years: take 2 capsules initially, then 1 capsule after each loose stool. Do not exceed 6 capsules (12mg) in 24 hours. Swallow with water. Drink plenty of fluids or ORS throughout. If diarrhoea persists beyond 48 hours, stop and see a doctor.

Do not use if there is blood or mucus in the stool, high fever, or severe abdominal pain. These need medical assessment. Not for children under 12 years, and never use in young children. Do not use in dysentery, ulcerative colitis flare-ups or antibiotic-associated colitis. Loperamide treats the symptom, not the cause. Persistent diarrhoea, especially with dehydration, needs medical review. May cause constipation, dizziness or drowsiness. Consult a doctor before use in pregnancy or breastfeeding. Never exceed the stated dose. Overdose can cause serious heart rhythm problems. Store below 30°C.
