Losartas 50mg Tablets (28 pack) contain losartan, an angiotensin-receptor blocker (ARB) widely used to treat high blood pressure. Losartan blocks a natural hormone that tightens blood vessels, allowing them to relax and widen so blood pressure falls and the heart's workload eases. It also helps protect the kidneys in people with diabetes and is used in some patients with heart strain. The 50mg strength is a common maintenance dose. Once-daily and well tolerated, Losartas offers steady blood-pressure control and kidney protection for people with hypertension.

Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor. Usually one tablet once daily, with or without food, swallowed with water at the same time each day. Keep taking it even when you feel well, as high blood pressure often has no symptoms. Do not stop without advice, and attend regular blood-pressure, kidney and potassium checks so the dose can be adjusted.

Do not use in pregnancy. ARBs can harm the unborn baby; tell your doctor at once if you become or plan to become pregnant. May cause dizziness, especially at first or on standing. Rise slowly. Can raise blood potassium and affect the kidneys; tell your doctor about kidney problems, dehydration, potassium supplements or water tablets. Store below 30°C.
