Overview
Reglutide Gensupen 2 is a liraglutide prefilled injection pen. A GLP-1 receptor agonist used in the treatment of type 2 diabetes (and, where licensed, weight management) under medical supervision. Liraglutide mimics the body's own incretin hormone: boosting insulin when glucose rises, curbing appetite and slowing digestion, with cardiovascular benefits demonstrated in suitable patients. This medicine is used under close medical supervision.
Directions for Use
This is a prescription medicine. Dosage is determined by your prescribing doctor based on your individual needs. Do not adjust your dose without medical supervision. Inject subcutaneously once daily at any consistent time, independent of meals, into the abdomen, thigh or upper arm, rotating sites. Exactly as your doctor prescribes, starting low and titrating per their schedule. Follow the pen's instructions for attaching a new needle each dose. Store as the leaflet directs (refrigerated before first use). Never share the pen.
Nausea is common at the start and usually settles. Eat smaller meals and stay hydrated. Stop and seek urgent care for severe, persistent abdominal pain radiating to the back (possible pancreatitis). Tell your doctor about thyroid cancer history (medullary), gallbladder disease and kidney problems. Hypoglycaemia risk rises when combined with sulfonylureas or insulin. Doses may be adjusted. Not for type 1 diabetes. Confirm the exact product and strength on the packaging. This product information is for general guidance only and does not replace professional medical advice. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider before starting any new medication or supplement. Keep all medicines out of reach of children.
