Overview
The Medtextile Ankle Support (Medium, XL fixation) is an elasticated support brace for the ankle. It wraps firmly around the ankle to provide compression and support, helping to relieve pain, reduce swelling and stabilise the joint during recovery from sprains and strains, or during activity and sport. Directions for Use
Slide or wrap the support onto the ankle so it sits comfortably over the joint, and adjust any straps for firm but comfortable support. Snug enough to support, not so tight that it restricts circulation. Wear it during activity or as advised by your doctor or physiotherapist, and remove it for rest. Loosen or remove it if you feel numbness, tingling or increased swelling below the support.
Use as support, not a cure. Do not apply so tightly that it cuts off circulation. Check that the foot and toes stay warm and pink, and loosen it if they turn pale, cold or numb. Seek medical care for severe ankle pain, inability to bear weight, deformity, or swelling that does not improve, as you may have a fracture or serious sprain. Keep clean and dry.
