Overview
Nifedi-Denk 10 Retard Tablets (100 pack) contain nifedipine 10mg in a slow-release (retard) formulation, a calcium channel blocker for high blood pressure and the prevention of angina chest pain. Nifedipine relaxes and widens blood vessels, lowering blood pressure and easing the heart's workload, while the retard system releases medicine gradually for smoother control with fewer peaks and troughs. Made to German standards by Denk Pharma, the economical 100-tablet pack supports consistent long-term treatment for people managing hypertension and angina under medical care.
Nifedipine 10mg per prolonged-release (retard) tablet.
Directions for Use
This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. Retard tablets are usually taken twice daily, about 12 hours apart, swallowed whole with water. Do not crush or chew, which destroys the slow-release action. Avoid grapefruit and grapefruit juice, which raise nifedipine levels. Do not stop suddenly; keep taking it even when you feel well.
Do not use in cardiogenic shock, significant aortic stenosis, unstable or acute angina, or within a month of a heart attack. Flushing, headache, dizziness and ankle swelling are common early and often settle. Rise slowly to avoid light-headedness. Caution in severe liver disease, heart failure and pregnancy. Use only as your doctor directs. Tell your doctor about all medicines, including other blood pressure drugs and certain antibiotics or antifungals. Store below 30°C protected from light. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider before starting any new medication or supplement. Keep all medicines out of reach of children.
