Directions for Use
This is a prescription medicine used to PREVENT (not to stop) angina attacks. Take only as directed by your doctor. Usually one tablet once or twice daily, swallowed WHOLE with water; do not chew, crush or break the slow-release tablet. Take it regularly to keep angina under control. For a sudden angina attack, use the fast-acting under-the-tongue nitrate your doctor has provided, and seek urgent help if chest pain does not settle.
Commonly causes headache, flushing or dizziness, especially at first. Rise slowly and take care driving until you know how it affects you. Do NOT use with medicines for erectile dysfunction (such as sildenafil/tadalafil), as the combination can cause a dangerous drop in blood pressure. Avoid alcohol, which can worsen dizziness. Tell your doctor about low blood pressure, anaemia or recent heart attack. Store tightly closed, below 25°C, away from moisture.
