Ontel 80H Tablets (30 pack) is a combination medicine for high blood pressure (hypertension) containing telmisartan 80mg and hydrochlorothiazide 12.5mg. Telmisartan (an angiotensin-receptor blocker) relaxes and widens the blood vessels, while hydrochlorothiazide (a thiazide "water tablet") helps the kidneys remove excess salt and water. Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor. Usually one tablet once daily, preferably in the morning, swallowed whole with water, with or without food. Taking it in the morning helps avoid night-time trips to the toilet. Keep taking it regularly even when you feel well, drink enough fluids, and attend reviews so your blood pressure, kidney function and blood salts can be checked. Do not stop suddenly without advice.

Do not use in pregnancy. Medicines acting on the renin-angiotensin system can seriously harm an unborn baby; tell your doctor at once if you become pregnant. Can lower blood salts (potassium, sodium) and may cause dizziness, especially at first or on standing. Rise slowly. Tell your doctor about kidney or liver problems, diabetes, gout, or use of other blood-pressure medicines, potassium supplements or NSAIDs. May raise blood sugar or uric acid. Store below 30°C.
