Overview

Pitava 1mg Tablets (30 pack) contain pitavastatin, a cholesterol-lowering medicine from the statin family. It is used to lower high cholesterol. Reducing "bad" LDL cholesterol and triglycerides while raising "good" HDL cholesterol, and to reduce the risk of heart attack, stroke and other heart problems. Pitavastatin works by blocking an enzyme in the liver that makes cholesterol. The 1mg strength is a low starting dose. Used with a healthy diet and exercise, it helps people protect their heart. Report any unexplained muscle pain, tenderness or weakness promptly, especially with fever or dark urine, as statins can rarely cause serious muscle problems. Directions for Use
