Pomalidomide 2mg Capsules (21 pack) contain pomalidomide, an immunomodulatory anti-cancer medicine used, in combination with other treatments, for multiple myeloma that has returned or not responded to previous therapy. Pomalidomide works against myeloma cells through several mechanisms, including effects on the immune system and tumour blood supply. It is prescribed and closely monitored within specialist haematology/oncology care. This medicine is administered under specialist medical supervision only.

Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Dosage is determined by your prescribing doctor based on your individual needs. Do not adjust your dose without medical supervision. Take exactly as prescribed by your specialist, swallowed whole with water at about the same time on the prescribed days of each treatment cycle, with or without food. Do not open, break or chew. Pomalidomide is given in cycles alongside other medicines; follow your cycle schedule precisely and attend all monitoring. This medicine is administered under specialist medical supervision only.

CRITICAL: pomalidomide causes severe birth defects and must NEVER be used in pregnancy. It is prescribed only within a strict pregnancy-prevention programme requiring reliable contraception and regular pregnancy testing for women of childbearing potential, and contraceptive precautions for men (it passes into semen); never share it and never donate blood or sperm during and after treatment. It raises the risk of blood clots (blood thinners are often co-prescribed. Report leg swelling, chest pain or breathlessness) and lowers blood counts (report fever, infection signs or unusual bruising urgently). Tell your team about all medicines.
