Femoston 1/10mg is a prescription hormone replacement therapy (HRT) for menopausal women, containing estradiol and dydrogesterone. It replaces the oestrogen the body makes less of after menopause to relieve symptoms such as hot flushes, night sweats, and vaginal dryness, while the dydrogesterone (a progestogen) protects the womb lining. Supplied as a 28-day calendar pack, Femoston helps women manage menopausal symptoms under a doctor's guidance.

Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor. Take one tablet daily, at about the same time each day, following the order marked on the calendar pack, with or without food, swallowed with water. Continue without a break between packs as directed. Your doctor will review treatment regularly to use the lowest effective dose for the shortest necessary time.

This is a prescription medicine. Tell your doctor about any history of breast or womb cancer, blood clots, stroke, heart or liver disease, or unexplained vaginal bleeding. HRT is not suitable for everyone. Seek urgent care for signs of a blood clot (leg swelling/pain, chest pain, breathlessness) or stroke. Attend regular check-ups and breast screening, and report any unusual vaginal bleeding or breast changes. HRT slightly increases certain risks; your doctor will discuss the benefit-risk balance.
