Overview

Premarin Vaginal Cream contains conjugated oestrogens, a form of the female hormone oestrogen. It is a prescription hormone (HRT) cream applied inside and around the vagina to relieve menopausal symptoms in this area. Such as vaginal dryness, itching, soreness and discomfort during intimacy. Which occur when oestrogen levels fall around the menopause. By replacing oestrogen locally, Premarin helps restore the comfort and condition of the vaginal tissues. It is used by women going through or after the menopause, as advised by their doctor.

Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Use only as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. The cream is inserted into the vagina using the supplied applicator, at a dose and frequency set by your doctor. Often a short daily course followed by a lower maintenance schedule (such as a few times a week). Applying at bedtime helps it stay in place. Wash the applicator after each use. Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest time needed.

Not suitable if you have unexplained vaginal bleeding, certain hormone-related cancers (such as breast or womb cancer), a history of blood clots or stroke, or active liver disease. Tell your doctor your full history. HRT carries small increased risks of blood clots and some cancers, which your doctor will discuss. Report any unusual vaginal bleeding, breast lumps, or signs of a clot (leg swelling, chest pain, breathlessness). Have regular check-ups. Store below 25°C.
