Directions for Use

Take only as directed by your doctor, pharmacist or clinic. Commonly one tablet daily, swallowed with water. Taking it with vitamin C (such as a citrus drink) aids iron absorption, while tea, coffee, milk and calcium reduce it, so separate these by a couple of hours. If it upsets your stomach, taking it with a little food can help. Take consistently as advised.

Iron can cause stomach upset, constipation and harmless dark stools. Do not exceed the recommended dose. Iron overdose is dangerous, especially to children, so keep well out of their reach. Tell your doctor before use if you have a condition that causes iron build-up, stomach ulcers, or take other medicines (iron can reduce absorption of some).
