Xatral LP 5mg Tablets (56 pack) contain alfuzosin 5mg in a prolonged-release format, an alpha-blocker from Sanofi for the urinary symptoms of an enlarged prostate (BPH). Weak stream, hesitancy, incomplete emptying and night-time frequency. Alfuzosin relaxes the prostate and bladder-neck muscle to ease the flow, with the LP formulation giving smooth all-day coverage.

Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. Take one tablet once daily, after the same meal each day, swallowed whole. Do not crush, chew or split prolonged-release tablets. Take the first dose at bedtime to limit first-dose dizziness. Continue consistently; benefits build over days to weeks.

First-dose and early dizziness or fainting can occur. Rise slowly, especially in the first days, and avoid driving until you know your response. Tell your eye surgeon you take an alpha-blocker before any cataract surgery (it affects the iris). Use caution with blood pressure medicines and erectile-dysfunction drugs (additive lowering).
