Overview
Endogest 2mg tablet contains Dienogest which belongs to the group of medicines called Synthetic progestogens. It is used in the treatment of endometriosis in women. Endometriosis is a disease characterized by the presence of tissue resembling endometrium (the lining of the uterus) outside the uterus. DIENOGEST suppresses the production of a hormone called estradiol which causes excess growth of the endometrium. Thereby, DIENOGEST helps in treating pelvic pain associated with endometriosis. DIENOGEST may also be used in menopausal hormonal therapy and heavy periods.
