Endogest 2mg (dienogest) is a prescription hormonal medicine used to treat endometriosis. A condition where tissue similar to the womb lining grows outside the uterus, causing pelvic pain and painful periods. Dienogest is a progestin that works by lowering the effect of oestrogen on this tissue, helping it shrink over time and easing chronic pelvic pain and painful menstruation. Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor. The usual dose is one 2mg tablet once daily, taken continuously without a break, at the same time each day, with or without food, swallowed with water. Start as advised by your doctor and continue even through bleeding. If you miss a tablet, take it as soon as you remember and continue as normal.

This is a prescription medicine. It is not a contraceptive on its own. Use a non-hormonal (barrier) method if you need contraception, and stop other hormonal contraceptives before starting. Do not use in pregnancy, or if you have a history of certain blood clots, liver disease, hormone-dependent cancers or unexplained vaginal bleeding. Tell your doctor your full history. Common effects include changes in bleeding pattern, headache, breast discomfort and mood changes; report persistent low mood. May not be suitable with certain other medicines.
