Gynanforte Pessaries are a prescription combination treatment for vaginal infections, containing metronidazole, neomycin and nystatin. Together they treat mixed vaginal infections. Metronidazole clears bacterial vaginosis and trichomonal infections, neomycin acts against other bacteria, and nystatin treats fungal (Candida/thrush) infections. Inserted into the vagina, the pessaries relieve symptoms such as abnormal discharge, itching, odour and irritation, helping women treat vaginal infections under a doctor's guidance.

Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Use only as directed by your doctor. Wash your hands, then insert one pessary high into the vagina, usually at night before bed, for the number of nights prescribed (commonly a course of several nights). A panty liner can protect underwear. Complete the full course even during a period or if symptoms improve, and avoid intercourse during treatment unless advised.

This is a prescription medicine for vaginal use. Avoid alcohol during and for about 48 hours after metronidazole treatment, as the combination can cause flushing, nausea and vomiting. Tell your doctor if pregnant or breastfeeding. The product may affect latex condoms and diaphragms, reducing their reliability.
