Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Use only as directed by your doctor. Typically one pessary inserted high into the vagina at bedtime for 7 consecutive nights, or as prescribed. Wash hands before and after insertion. Lying down afterwards helps the pessary stay in place. Complete the full course even if symptoms improve early, and continue through menstruation unless advised otherwise.

Mild local burning, irritation or increased discharge can occur as the pessary dissolves. A panty liner helps. The pessary base may weaken latex condoms and diaphragms. Use alternative precautions during treatment. If the combination contains metronidazole or a similar agent, avoid alcohol during treatment.
