Sizodon 2 mg Tablets contains Risperidone which is used in the treatment of schizophrenia and mania. Sizodon 2 mg Tablet is an atypical anti-psychotic. It works by modulating the action of certain chemical messengers in the brain that affect thoughts. It is a controlled drug in Kenya and a valid prescription from a registered doctor is required to obtain the prescribed doses.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Sizodon 2 mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Sizodon should be used with caution in liver and kidney conditions.Its should also be used with caution in lactation. However it is probably unsafe for use in pregnancy. Sizodon 2 mg Tablet may cause excessive drowsiness and calmness with alcohol. Common side effects include Headache, Akathisia, Dystonia, Sleepiness, Insomnia (difficulty in sleeping), Parkinsonism.
