Telmi AM 40/5mg Tablets (30 pack) combine two blood-pressure medicines. Telmisartan 40mg, an angiotensin-receptor blocker, and amlodipine 5mg, a calcium-channel blocker. Telmisartan relaxes blood vessels by blocking a hormone that tightens them, while amlodipine widens the arteries directly; together they lower blood pressure more effectively and smoothly than either alone. Combining two complementary actions in one daily tablet also helps reduce side effects such as the ankle swelling sometimes seen with amlodipine. Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor. Usually one tablet once daily, with or without food, swallowed with water at the same time each day.
